Our efforts for sustainability & innovation in the coffee world

Reflecting on 2024, we feel grateful for the opportunities we had to grow, forge new relationships, and foster collaborations. Our efforts reinforced our commitment to high quality, sustainability, and innovation in the coffee world. Let’s revisit some of the highlights from the past year.

Fairtrade Indonesia: Supporting Local Communities and the Environment

Introducing the new Fairtrade-certified Indonesian variety was a milestone for us, offering a tangible and impactful way to enhance our commitment to sustainability. This initiative allowed us to support local communities and promote responsible coffee farming practices.

Selecting this coffee from Aceh, Sumatra, we actively support local coffee growers by ensuring fair wages and fostering environmentally respectful farming practices. In a world where the need for change is more urgent than ever, we believe supporting such initiatives is crucial to protecting natural resources and empowering rural communities.

Forte Extra: A Dynamic Flavor Experience

In today’s fast-paced world, we sought to combine energy, quality, and enjoyment in every cup. This vision gave birth to Forte Extra, an espresso that not only keeps up with life’s pace but enhances it, delivering intensity and endurance where needed most.

The origin of these high-quality Arabica beans from Guatemala and Brazil was no coincidence—it highlights our focus on quality and flavor complexity. More than just a product, Forte Extra reflects our commitment to redefining coffee as an experience that reshapes our relationship with energy, taste, and time, offering true value in daily life.

Collaboration with Greek Company PHEE: Recycling Coffee Residue and Driving Innovation

We believe in the power of small changes and the value of collaboration in creating significant outcomes. Our partnership with the Greek startup, PHEE, is a step in this direction, aligning with our values of sustainability and innovation.

Through the recycling of coffee residues collected via the Nespresso Professional recycling program, PHEE developed the Cophee Board—a pioneering bioplastic material used in architecture and functional products like coasters, signage, and holders for sugar and straws.

Over 30% of the Cophee Board’s composition comes from repurposed coffee residues, proving that even small elements, like coffee grounds, can play a role in larger changes. Through this collaboration, we not only reduce our environmental footprint but also redefine our role in the coffee industry with greater responsibility, creativity, and awareness

Expanding Service Points: A Solution for Every Space

Lastly, 2024 allowed us to expand our service points with Nespresso Professional’s automated solutions, catering to both small and large spaces. We are proud of our progress and remain focused on improving our services.

For yet another year, our goal is to make your everyday life easier by offering exceptional coffee in more places—from hotels and restaurants to self-service stations. We remain dedicated to our evolution and look forward to continuing to innovate, support sustainability, and deliver the ultimate coffee experience together.
